There was about 30 people stopped in the road taking pictures of this moose, obviously he must be used to it.

OK, this is the only thing I found interesting in Driggs which is still a real stretch. We used it as a home base to travel to Teton National Park

Black Canyon NP, CO

Another short drive from our Gunnison campground is the Black Canyon. We took a short drive through that was cut short from passing thunderstorms but will come back. Gives a different view without the sun shining.

Painted wall. The light color lines were from molten rock fissures before the river cut the canyon.

Crested Butte,CO

Crested Butte is only a short drive north of our month stay in Gunnison so we will come back some more times to explore.

I was trying to figure out these things and from seeing some other similar pieces in town I realized they are made from car bumpers!

Wolf Creek Pass,CO

Lots of passes to drive over in Colorado like this one at Wolfs Creek Pass at 10,850' elevation. Weather is nice and cool in the mountains during the summer. I nice change from the 90-100 and humid we are used to.
